Why does the Daily and Sunday Express continue to run scientifically illiterate hype and fear stories?

These papers frequently run stories on cures for this cures for that,eternal life around the corner etc and similarly fear stories about immunisation,food scares,epidemics etc.Today there is an article about major cancer breakthrough but the fact it hasn't been picked up by other media suggests its overblown and an exaggeration /over extrapolation.It drives me mad I like balanced info not hype and scare!
