Should I fired for refusing to conduct counseling services for Police.?

Wow that is horrible, and I am sorry for you. Well if you consider that your profession you're going to have to deal with the cops eventually, even if you find another counseling job. You can always look for another type of job. But are your feelings from the past going to dramatically alter your family's life? I would talk to your boss and let him know how you feel. If you don't want to get into it just tell your boss you have personal reasons for not wanting to deal with the cops. Your boss might understand or help you deal with them as little as possible. You might just have to suck it up and deal with them for your family's sake.
