What is wrong with my bronco?

Did you check the fluid level? How does the fluid look? I would guess the is going out. Take it to a reputable shop & get yourself a free quote. Just tell them the symptoms, & see where they go from there. Some shops will do what you tell them that you think it is, when it can possibly be something cheaper & simpler.
