Does your baby take a pacifier or suck his/her thumb?

Just curious! My 10-month-old has never taken to a pacifier and instead sucks his thumb, but only when he's clutching a crocheted blanket (could be a baby blanket or the afghan on the sofa). My firstborn loved his pacifier and sucked on it ALL the time until he was 1-1/2.
